Years 1 and 2

Welcome to year one and two, this term we have been learning about deadly 60 animals.

We started the topic learning about the continents and oceans of the world, mapping out where the deadly animals live. Then we moved on to research specific deadly animals such as eagles, tigers, sharks, bears and crocodiles. From this information gathered year one made individual leaflets and year two made partnered leaflet posters. Year one and two completed maths sequencing questions to make deadly 60 top trump cards! We have also sketched deadly animals using oil pastels.

Finally we have designed our own deadly animals focusing on what deadly features they have such as spikes, poison, claws including tails that electrocute. From this we made models of our invented animals using salt dough, we painted them and wrote stories about them.

Next term we will begin to write our scripts for our documentary deadly 60. We will film some of our footage at London Zoo. The premiere will be Friday the 3rd of February at 14:30 in the hall.
